Seems pretty easy only concern is on the X drive model i know things can be slightly different that a 535i.. if anyone can can share any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean the CV joint boot? Do you know how long it has been split? Unless you know it just happened, it got some contamination. In other cars I have had, I just replaced the entire half shaft.

'swing support' is the sway bar end link, at least that's what BMW calls it.

There really isn't much to replacing them. jack the car up using a floor jack at the jack point, remove wheel, remove worn end link and bolt in the replacement. you'll need to place a torx bit on a ratchet into the end of the threaded portion of the sway bar link to hold it in place, and loosen the securing nut with a wrench. Should take about 10 minutes per side.
