I was out of town on business for the past week and I dropped off my car to get the software updated and a general servicing last tuesday. I stopped by this morning and they said that they didn't have it ready so I could get a loaner. I was kinda stoked to drive around in a little 3series for the day just for change of pace. What do I get instead? A Chevy Cobalt. . That whole "you dont know what you have till it's gone" thing is really true. i always wondered if I could ever drive another car after getting an e60, and after today I plan on never buying a different car from a 5 series (unless, of course, it's a 7....) I envy everyone else who got to drive their baby today.

I know what you mean; when I go out in our garage, my 545i calls me. But, today, I am driving my other baby. It's a great car too, but I have had it for 3 1/2 years so some of the new has worn off. It sure goes fast; I've got to get new tires. I have only 9,500 pretty easy miles on my tires/car. But, he temp has gotten coolish lately, and I have zero traction in 1st for 2nd with the pedal down. The car gets quite entertaining even with stability control on--which I always leave on in this car (but I never leave traction control on).

Don, my baby will also break 1,2,&3, BTW, how low is the temp out there? We are in the 40s now.

In case you are wondering, Don is talking about his Z06, not the RX7.

Hi Joe:
It's been in the 60's (early-ish mornings), but usually warms up to the 70's. The RX-7 can be just as bad when the tires are worn, and it, of course, has no stability control. The good news is that when it breaks loose, it goes surprisingly straight. I have to use R-compound tires on the RX-7. CU
[/quote]Absolutely, but very slowly. ~{;^)

Just last week my dealer gave me a MB C240. What a piece of Chrysler that car is.
