hey all, im planning to put a turbo into a 06 530xi... never seen it done or heard of it done. i know superchargers can be put in but a turbo is whats calling my name. wondering if anyone has tackled this project and if not, what are yallz suggestions on either the supercharger or turbo. and also im planning to convert it to a dual exhaust. but i heard rumors that if i do that it will lower its power. suggestions anyone??? thx

eventually he ended up selling his 530 but later picked up a 550...
GL with your research...I cannot recall ever seeing an attempt at installing a turbo kit on a 530...
ess sells a kit for the M54 engine,

not the N52, which Is what you have IIRC...
as stated, you do an engine swap....here's one..swapped to an M54: https://5series.net/forums/topic/671..._1#entry744936

Model Year: 2008
Engine: N54
The n54 will hit 420hp with simple tunes and bolt on parts. With a conversion from 2 small twins to a single turbo current hp at the wheels is around 600whp. These power levels are on stock internals.
