Guys....could use your always helpful knowledge here. My area had a bad hail storm a few weeks back and my car looked somewhat like a golf ball with $2500 worth of dimples put into the body work. Insurance is fixing this but the body shop had to remove the sunroof. They have it all put back together but when you close the roof it almost closes all the way but then slides back open 1/2 way automatically. Think it needs to be "reset" somehow.....anyone know how to do this?

Thanks,
Will

Mine did that once, don't know what caused it, but it did exactly what was happening to your sunroof. When it stopped at 1/2 open, I just opened it all the way and then closed it. That seemed to reset it somehow.

I forget but I think its open it manually all the way then close it manually all the way and hold it closed for 10 secs...

Manually meaning physically hold the open/close button

Thanks flyingpuck, it is actually still there, was just trying to help them come up with something before I pick it up. Saw a thread about the anti trap after I posted the comment and emailed it to him.

Does anyone get it while driving? Say going on the freeway going like 80mph with the roof opening and then hitting the one touch to close it. It'll close like 3/4 of the way and the shoot backwards and stay open at the half position? Will only close if you hold the switch to close it all the way?

Well I'm glad to hear that, I hope it comes back the way it used to be so your love affair can continue!

There is a wind deflector piece that is suppsed to tuck out of the way at the back. When the roof is open you can push it down with your fingers. hold this down while it is closing, don't worry, your fingers won't get munched. trust me I've tried

I can't find it, but I saw a thread before where you push up on the button to vent (not open or close). Hold the button down (I forgot for how long). Anyway, the sunroof will want to go up again and then will want to open and close all the way by itself. Again, all this while holding the vent button down. I guess it's the way the system recalibrates itself. The whole process takes about 75 seconds.
