Iknow the windows will go for a few minutes after the power is turned off, should I be able to close the sunroof also after I turned the car off??

Yes.
The OP's car is working as designed (even though it may have been an oversight by the design people at BMW...)

Mine won't operate using the sunroof controls after car is off either, but it will close if i hold my finger on the driver's exterior door lock (comfort access).

There is no indication that your car has any problem (see my post above...)

He's referring to the outside keyhole located on the driver's door handle. If you have comfort access, you can close all windows and the sunroof by touching and holding your finger in that area.

To prevent A/C from starting. I leave A/C off, Auto off, Fan speed at minimum. This works most of the time. I've noticed that Auto comes on by itself when interior condensation is detected - this is by design.

My 2005 545i works exactly the same way, if I need to close it, I have to turn the key back to the starting position to move the sunroof, though even with the key out of the ignition, the windows will close BEFORE the doors have been opened!
