Any ideas where they can be stored and readily accessible? Glove compartment is too far away and inconvenient.

I wrap mine around the shifter... stays there most of the time even during modest "spirited" driving

I put mine up in the sun visor pull it down place them towards you and close it works perfect.

In the face of the dash pocket just above the shifter. In the LCI there is a lip that holds them in under acceleration, on my 2004 they used to slid out under hard acceleration.

I put mine right in front of the Idrive/nav screen area. Easy to access and out of the way, they haven't falling off once yet, even in "hard" driving.

that's where i put mine, but the op has a '08 lci, and since his doors are different, i can't remember if he would have the same pockets...

Driver's side door pocket....case fits perfectly.

The tray with rubber forward of the gear shift selector seems to work well.
