Sun Roof woes

Hi All,
I have the panoramic roof on my 2007 535d, if I dont use the sunroof for a couple of days abot a week or so when I open to stage one where the glass just lifts to let air in there is a loud pop as it just before the glas reaches it's final postion yet if I open and close it again the noise isn't there even the next day. Anyone throw any light on this?

Does it have the plastic/fabric sides that accordion up and down? If so is it getting stuck and then popping?

Item #2 has caused a lot of problems. As the glass closed from the full open position it would bind and make a popping noise. Mine was repaired at the dealer.
