My Ride: 2008 550i Sport (6-speed)
Don't know how you managed 35k for the fronts..... My entire set went around 12k. I'm on my 3rd set of tires with just 50k miles.
Anyway, the best tires in my opinion were the Continental Sport Contact II's that came with the car. Good dry/wet traction, terrific compromise tire for street and occasional autocross. They were quiet and worn evenly.
The worse were the Pirrelli P-Zero Nero's. They were quiet when new but as they wore, they became extremely noisy (howling consistently at 50 mph and up). Dry traction was good, wet traction was decent. Tire also started to cup towards the end of their life which made the noise even worse!
My current tire is the Bridgestone RE 760. These tires are competitively priced, good dry traction, wet traction is a bit scary, on center feel is numb, tires are quiet, but the sidewalls tend to "roll over" during spirited driving. Probably won't get these again but they were cheap! I hear the Bridgestone RE011's are pretty good, they're a bit more expensive of course.

I have the RE-11 on my 911. It is an incredible tire - the most aggressive tire Bridgestone manufacture. Grip and turn in are immense and it's very capable in the wet (which surprised me a little as I am running 305s in the back). The last set on my 911 were Michelin PS2s, and my own experience is that the RE-11 is actually the superior tire - it grips harder, it is quieter, it has better turn-in and off-the-line traction is simply epic. I highly recommend it. I don't have any experience with the RE-11 in a sedan, but as a sport tire it is perfectly suited to my 911 and a tremendous street/track tire. Rear tires on my 911 are pricey and don't last long so it doesn't hurt that it is cheaper than the PS2, but it is clearly the better tire of the two.

It's Black on Carbon Black, Aluminum, HUD, CWP, NAV, M-Sport Pkg
Thanks everyone for the comments & suggestions. I'm going to give the V12 Evo's a try. I had a set of Ventus on a previous car and was pleasd with them.
