The problem is when you talk trash about your dealer and reveal your license? plate, they'd treat you bad when you bring your car in for service. That's just my $0.02.

yeah but how would the dealer know what i'm talking on this forum?!? I mean there might be a few dealer spies out there but just a few...nothing to worry about on this matter, imo!

You can never be too safe with protecting your privacy and identity.? Often we post clues to our names, occupations, etc. so a smart bad guy might be able to connect the dots and possibly do something bad...

exactly said, there is no need to publically link your car to yourself, you never know who is looking

I can say with 100% certainty that my service advisor and service tech read this forum fairly regularly. I can only assume that others at my dealership read it from time to time...

I think everyone here fears pissing someone off.

That person can then Google your nick, start looking for your ident. and matches it to your car's plate. If that person has time, he can find a wealth of info on you and your family.

There are many ways to torment someone beside the physical harm you are thinking of. Physical being the worst case of course.

For example the most famous one I can think off:

Anonymous calls to your phones in the middle of the night.
Playing loud music or loud domestic despute.
Reports that you are beating your dog (police comes to investigate)
Stealing cable (cable company comes to investigate
Remodeling/work to the house without a permit (building department is all over you)
Ident fraud and so on......

To many crack pots out there. Be carefull!

I wish my SA would read this forum. I get tired of having to explain everything to a blank stare.

Do you think they will take your GF too?

I don't worry about my car and the tow truck. They are monitored "real time". I allways know where the car and the tow trucks are, if I want.
