I picked up a 2009 535i xdrive 2 months ago. I love the car, But atleast once a week the speedometer needle gets stuck. One time stuck at 0 mph, another time stuck at 67 mph and the last time it zeroed out at 20 mph and was working at 20 mph over actual speed. I took it to the dealer and SA told me they could not find anything wrong and everything is working fine. Does anyone have any ideas ???

You don't have a speedometer cable or anything like that. All you have on the back of the instrument cluster is an electrical connection.
You car is under warranty. Even if the needle isn't stuck when you take it back insist - politely - they replace the cluster. Everything clearly isn't fine. They will get reimbursed by BMW for the work so they have no vested interest in refusing to do it. But.... it is difficult for them to authorize a repair when their computers don't tell them there is anything wrong.

Here's a video for reference:

My cruise control indicator is doing the exact thing that your speedo is doing. In my case it is not the signaling to the instrument cluster but is a mechanical issue with the galvanometer in the cluster itself.

Have them run a cluster test to make sure the gauges are all functioning.
