Hi everyone
I posted this early but not got many replies so trying again. The other day when I turned the key off, the lights between the two dails stayed on, I have tried to reset by disconnecting it from the battery but it still comes back on, checking on the web I have found out that it has entered into the hidden menu for some reason, I dont know why it went there as I didnt do it but now its stuck there, any ideas how to get out of there?

Based on what you said earlier and told about the code on the screen, I don't think that the hidden menu has opened. However, I think it's irrelevant here. Go to an indy shop or to dealer and get the error codes read. There might be something concerning the cluster, perhaps...

It says that the ignition must be on, but I can access the menu even when the engine is running.

I have the code read and it says the intellgent battery sensor fault code comes up, and also the restraint system is faulty, but this would leave the cluster lights on?
However, there has been numerous real faults in passenger's seat mat (a sensor) and that has been a reason for a recall. So, you should check it more closely, but if you haven't got any idrive messages, I think it's caused by a bad battery.
Get the IBS and the battery changed. If you don't, you will get some strange faults in the future. I'm not sure if the IBS has been a reason for a recall too, but I know that many people have had a faulty IBS.

Hi Antti
Many thanks for your help, the battery is new and was put in only two weeks ago with no problems, I wonder if it was registered?
