Default stuck in gear, pwr steering loss, fraky stuff happening

Today
i was tooling around in my 04 and my trans got stuck in what I assume was 1st or 2nd --- could not manually shift at all my power steering went out, my speedo and tach failed so I limped on home and when I parked the whole system seemed to be haywire --- like a dead battery ot bad alt
tried to restart and nothing just like a dead batttery

just went out and it started right up I drove down the drive , it shifted however the pwr steering still seems to be not working

This is crazy --- kinda scared to drive it now Any ideas???

How old is the battery? I would first check the voltage while car is off then while it's on. If you don't have something to check the voltage then charge the battery over night out of the car and see what happens.

I am betting on either that or the flux capacitor. lol

AutoZone can test your battery and alternator for free.

Good luck!

If this is 04 545i, it's possibly the IVM. Search here and other forums, google too and see if the symptoms of a bad IVM match your symptoms. GL
