Striking sound when moonroof closed from tilting up

My Ride: 06 530Xi w/ M-Sport Package
07 335i Cabriolet w/ M-Sport body kit
It started a few days ago. When I close the moonroof from a tilted up position it makes a plastic striking sound just before it closes tight. I brought it to the dealership today and the service rep said he will search for a factory bulletin to see if this is a known issue. Any idea??

What causes that and what is the fix? I am sure they will fix it but they probably won't give me any info.
As I recall something is hitting the roof...service fixed it for me, they just need to file down a plastic part...no biggie.

I just had the same thing fixed last month and the tech told me it was just a simple adjustment and had it fixed within few hours. Too bad they could not fix the rest of my problems.

My Ride: 2005 545i, 6 speed, black sapphire with beige leather, style 128 wheels, and clear bra.
My entire sunroof had to be replaced. they will attempt to do the easy fix but if it does not help, they replace it. The service rep showed me boxes of new sunroofs secondary to this problem.

Mine did that, but only if I tried to make it go from a tilt-up position to a slide back position in one move (without stopping in the normal closed position).
I think there was a Bulletin on this and they had to grind off part of a plastic at the back of the sunroof. That fixed the problem but they did not bother to throw some sort of cover on the interior before grinding the plastic with a Dremel.....so the seats, console and dash had small pieces of black plastic all over it when I picked up the car. They did not even bother to clean it before giving it back to me.
