Stress Cracked Windshield

My Ride: 2005 545i ordered - built 1/05 - arrived 3/16/05 . Silver Gray - Biege Interior. Sports Package, Steptronics, Comfort Seats, Cold Weather Package, Rear Fold Down Seats, Sat Radio.
Mods: Seatback Hangar, Trunk Net, Umbrella.
Have any of you guys had a windshield crack on it's own.
My service manager says has seen a few stress crack on thier own.
Anybody else out there have this happen.
Mine goes into the dealer this Tuesday for windshield replacement and upgrade to V17.

btw, try ask your dealer to upgrade your sw to 16.2 instead of 17, if still available. or if you want to wait, get 19 later. some members are having problems with 17.

My Ride: May 2004 525 Amethyst grey, Heated front seats, bluetooth prep, Adaptive Xenons, 6 CD changer, Front & Rear PDC, retro-fit 6 DVD changer in boot (trunk) with remote control plus headrest screens and IR headphones, Playstation connection to cabin, twin 12v outlets in rear cabin
Yep - mine went at about 11 months. Got it replaced under warranty as a stress fracture.

My Ride: 2004 BMW 545i, Olivin Green, w/Sports Package, basic stereo, chrome wheels, tinted windows, Bluetooth enabled with Moto V710 (Verizon), Sirius Sat Radio (aftermarket), Auxiliary Input for Ipod.

My Ride: 2008 550i Space Gray
happened to me at 2 months....got in the car one morning outta the garage and there was a nice straight horizontal crack stretching from the passenger side front pillar toward the center.....
dealer replaced under warranty as a stress fracture....and he mentioned it was fairly common

Here are some photos of the cracked windshield - started at the passenger side and lengthen to ~16 inches.
