Can any one tell me the main differance between the D and DS mode in performance terms. Does the cars accelarate faster in the DSport mode???

Thanks

KYRIACOS: DS will wait longer, i.e. higher rev points, to up-shift than D. DS uses a more "aggressive" or sporty shifting algorithm than D does. Hope that helps (HTH in internet speak!). Also, to get to the semi-manual mode, where you can shift yourself, you need to be in DS mode first.

And when you are in DS you can push the selector forward or pull it backwards to shift gears. On your display you will notice the gear you are in, M1, M2, M3... M stands for manual. You can end the manual or DS mode by just pushing the selector over to the right and you are right back in the D mode.

How do you get from manual back to DS mode ?

Push the selector lever to the right into D and right back to the left into DS.

What i meant was can you return to sport mode without going back into D first.

No. :(
But it only takes half a second...

I've read somewhere else that the DS mode does not go into 6th gear.
Anyone else confirm this?

can't absolutely confirm, but the other day I was cruising down the interstate and saw that I was going to need to punch it to jump into another lane, so I moved from D to DS and the car dropped from 6th to 5th gear before I hit the gas pedal. It definitely uses the higher RPM, now whether it would eventually shift to 6th if I was cruising at a high enough speed, I don't know, but just doing 65 mph or so, holding the gas pedal steady, it moved down in gear and stayed there until I got up to speed and moved back to D, then it shifted back to 6th gear.

doesn't shift to 6th in DSauto; can be shifted to 6th is DSmanual

and DSmanual will eventually shift even if you don't - it's clever enough to work towards a non-blownup engine policy B)
