what scum to kill innocent people, especially under the influence of alcohol. Sorry but I have no sympathy for people that behave in this manner. its a shame that people dont learn from others tragedies

Street racing = stupid.

Driving under the influence of alcohol = even more stupid.

Street racing while driving under the influence of alcohol = about as stupid as you can get!

What a shame...

This is not the first time the guy has been arrested for drunk driving. He has priors for drunk driving in the past. I believe the victims were tourists visiting the city. It was a graphic scene, the victim was basically cut in half.

Such a sad, stupid, tragic waste of life...someone's loved one is not coming home tonight.... On the way home from the airport last Thursday, I passed an accident where an extended cab truck had rolled and there were several "yellow blankets" at the scene...so sad to see that - no matter what the cause and if it was some stupid drunk...

There was a street racing accident near Charlotte a few years back. They plowed into a street cafe of some sort and killed a few folks. I think both drivers got significant jail time.

I hope that some of the younger and or racer guys are reading this thread.......... we all believe we are invincible when young and don't much think about the bigger picture when doing dumb stuff..... this guy surely never intended to kill anyone and crack up his car but he never knew enough not to drink and drive and certainly not race ............terrible outcome
