hi all...
i'll be leavin my baby for 5 weeks while working across the pond, and am wondering if anyone has any advice for storage, in terms of keeping the power alive, whether to have just the engine ran for a specific period of time, or if short sprints are necessary to keep the battery charged...any experience out there????

I would get a battery-tender type item--available many places--e.g., Griott's. Your battery probably would be up at the end of the month without one, but that's hard to say.

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
Most of the cars now have a hard relay shutoff to cut most of the battery drain (due to all of the computers). The only thing that should be alive is the clock function and alarm. My gut feel is that you will still be able to start it after 5 weeks. Worst case, you need a jump and have to re-initalize your settings.
