I had the 520d M Sport 09 Carbon Black 39k, took me 5 months to find it and now its gone....

Damn, sorry to hear. That's rough

Hey John,

What's the price for the LoJack system for the BMW?

Thanks,

@Rob2388 I'm fully covered however we shall soon see what this actually means!!

@Doughboy540 mate your not a retard i got caught with my pants down assuming my car was safe until it was stolen but then spoke to the police who pointed out some issue with BMW security. Immediately got on youtube and watched the BBC watchdog piece here in the UK

I'm not sure about the states mate, does the fob use the same technology.

@GCVT Thanks mate, btw nice set of wheels

Hope this helps

ATTN THIEVES: Come steal my cars! LOL I could care less.
In reality the above is not how it's done. The CAS will set alarm if you try to lower a window. And by that time too much attention has been caught. What organized thieves normally do is they program their own key outside of your car. Most of you are talking about this video

Hackers steal keyless BMW in under 3 minutes (video) | ZDNet

Notice how they state the owner "suspects" they used the OBD port. lol, Do not take this seriously because there are faster ways if one wants to. Notice how they push it out of the way of camera so they could work on it a little longer. This represents inexperienced car thieves probably at their best

@rob2388, I am fully covered on my insurance (I hope)

@doughboy540 here in the UK customers can phone their local BMW dealer and ask for the update to their security system free of charge. The work takes approx 90 mins
