Keep a close call on the dealer.

I had my car at the dealer for about 5 weeks and honestly they didnt fix anything. I got it back cause i was tired of driving a loaner chrysler.
5 weeks?!?! Damn I'm half way there....if I have to wait 5 weeks, I'm going to talk to the GM about giving my effin money back or something!

Another update

Dropped the car off on the 24th, supposed to be ready by today....guess what? Its not....

It went in for these reasons.

1. SA got BMWNA to approve the new cylinder head
2. Noisy squeaky interior
3. Rough Idle on cold start ups and sometimes at a stop
4. Car is shifting left and right noticeably when stopped
5. 08v-384 recall
6. Squeaky brakes

So far he's completed:

1, 2, and 6.

He thinks that the shifting is probably caused by the rough idle, so they ordered another part today but won't get it till Monday. ETA for my car return is Monday.

I've been really REALLY patient and cool about it so far, but I think i'm starting to get a bit tired of it, my car has been in there as long as I've gotten to drive it. What really is starting to piss me off is that the sales guy kept assuring me that the car had 0 problems. Foolish me took his words for it since its a CPO......

/end rant.

Don't feel too bad, the only problem I have with mine is #6 and tehy still can't take care of that. It's pissing me off. The other issues you are having surprise me. I haven't had any of these since I bought mine 2 years ago.

^^^ Well the cylinder head is suppose to cure my clunking/tapping noise and plus I heard that the new one was suppose to ad a little bit of hp so i'm happy that its taken care of.

I can't say for sure that the brakes are taken care of, the SA just gave me an update.

Did you buy it as a CPO? I hope you did. My 04 is flawless and is still running strong. I just cracked 30k miles today. Anyway, good luck with everything.
Damn only 30k miles on a 2004 David?!?! No fair!

I've got 77k!!

You know what that means... Drive your car more!!

To the op, its a good thing you got the cpo and if everything does get fixed it will be worth the wait. If it doesnt get fixed....go raise hell. a really sweet loaner might help the situation. tell them you are more likely to be more patient if you get a 535 or a v8 5'er, or ever the 335 coupe. after all you did spend thousands of dollars to not be able to drive your car for weeks

Good call AWG! I just don't want to raise hell b/c my SA has been really helpful and I don't blame him for any of this, its just the car....

A downside to getting a 535 is that I might not want to return it haha
