stereo AUX input
Hi, I am thinking of adding a DVD to the system to watch movies and have the sound to the AUX of the E60 sound system, but is there an AUX in the rear of a standard E60 system for me to do that?
Thanks for helping out

I believe the newer E60's have an AUX input below the rear center vents, or maybe that's the new E90's. I'm assuming your E60 does not have this because you would be able to see it. Either way, you could run your normal dash AUX input pretty close to the same area and then just use an RCA cable to get you the rest of the way. Or you could just run the audio cables from your DVD player all the way up and into your dash. It's pretty easy to take apart the center console, dash, glovebox, seats, and door molding on the E60, so you should be able to run concealed wires anywhere you want. Hope that helps.

07's have a aux port in the back on the center console between the two cig adapters
You can also just ask your dealer to retrofit the AUX at the back and order the new console under the vent. I think its much better than running wires from back to front since it requires a lot of taking apart your car in order to have it all concealed. Peace..

For the E60 2007 cars have them. and yes it is in the back of the center console. You should be abel to see it if you are sittin in the back seat... if you dont see it or you dont have a 2007 then you'll have to get it retrofitted at the dealer. Thats probably even better for you then you can have the dealer run it inside of the glove box or wherever you want it rather than in the rear center console... I think thats a bad place for it.
