My Ride: Sapphire black 545i with sports package, premium package, 6 speed manual, 20" Maya rims.

Just a little quirk i've noticed... Does anybody find that after you start your car and the steering wheel returns down to its programmed position, that it is sometimes a little off? It only happens to me maybe once out of ten times, but when it happens the return position is off by about 1 centimeter (sometimes less). To correct it all I have to do is push my seat memory button and it'll return to the proper position. Anybody else have this happen ever?

I have the exact problem and I don't know how to fix it. The only way to fix it is to push the memory button. Bummer, Bimmer!

My situation is a bit different, I think: my steering wheel always returns to the same position BUT not exactly where I left it. I find that I can manually move the steering wheel lower (vertically), perhaps another 1 cm or so. Then when I restart, the wheel moves back (a bit higher than before). Is that weird or what? Obvoiusly, I like the steering wheel low (so that I can read some of the speedo over the top of the rim).

Hummm I thought it was a side effect for using two keys and two memory options...

Not for me - I am the only driver and only use one key. And the situation occurs exactly the same for me, time after time. Is it the same for you, too?

I'm not sure... i never really paied attention... but i know i had to re-adjust the steering wheel sometimes after switching drivers... and not all the time. so.
