On my friends' 04' 530i the heated steering wheel light started to blink and no longer heats. I mean it's been used really well and only when it stopped functioning do you realize how much of a convience it really is. Anyway to fix this or maybe even upgrade the steering wheel or do I need to start bring my own gloves My hunch is the coil on the inside oxidized and disconnected.

if the light is blinking , then it's most likely due to low battery charge or the battery is somehow draining

If your balls are cold you have a lot more to worry about than just the steering wheel, good luck

I still have my old steering wheel if your friend wants to buy it. Heated function worked great last time I used it. Funny I think it's warmer than my sport wheel. Shoot me a PM if interested
