Is there a DIY to remove the steering wheel audio controls? The Volume up/down button on the left of the steering wheel always vibrates. It's driving me crazy. I literally have to drive with my hand over the buttons.

I put some 3M tape inside the gap.

Had it replaced under warranty, but seems like it might be a bit complicated cuz it being near the airbag.

I was thinking about squirting a drop of silicone in the gap. I think it's safer to try the tape. Thanks for the idea.

do you guys drive your bimmers in quite? do you not put your logic 7's to use?

Put a few layers of electrical tape on top of each other (1 backwards so neither side is sticky). Cut it to size and slip it on the side to provide pressure. The switch won't rock as freely, but you'll remain sane.

Damn...I noticed this thread before but just ignored it since I thought I didn't have the problem. However, today I was driving my car on a longer distance than usual and I noticed the buttons rattling as well. I had to drive with my hand on the button to shut them up! As I was doing that, I remembered passing this thread.
