I am assuming that it steams up from the inside?

That's right, from the inside. Spoils the whole front end look.

You have a leak in the seal. Fix it or replace the whole damn light fixture for $500.

Unsure of the year of your 550 OEM lists the lamp for a lot less than $500!

Are you still under warranty? If not, I suspect moisture is entering your lamp housing because the halogen caplet (probably a 9006) is not seated properly. Remove the bulb, inspect the bulb seating area and gasket, use a hair dryer or heat lamp to dry out the moisture and see if that cures the problem.

If you are able, also inspect for a cracked housing. If minor and not very visible you may be able to seal it with a good silicone sealing adhesive.

Cheers guys,

I'll check housings and seals, if i can't find anything i'll just never put them on again

To be honest, i never put them on anyway, maybe if i did, they would dry up from the heat of the bulb
