I have a 2007 550I 6sp and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with upgrading their brake lines to stainless steel braided brake lines? I was considering Stoptech. Any suggestions? Brands to stay away from?
thanks in advance

I don't know of any brands to stay away from, however, I have used Stoptech and Goodrich in the past with fantastic results. SS brake lines will give you the feel of a BBK without the cash outlay and they WILL improve performance of the brakes greatly. No matter which ones you choose you should be in for a big change in your brakes. Good luck

There will be slight better feel on the pedal but not worth the $$ spent.
Those who feel significant increase in better pedal feel, they must have bled the OLD system w/ a LOT of VAPOR on their brake fluid.
Obviously, when you switch from old fluid (even new car comes w/ months year old of fluid) to new fluid then you feel better.
I swapped, 1 week old fluid w/ rubber line to SS line before and rebled and I could only feel a very slight better feel on pedal.
For the $$$ and time spent it's probably not worth it

thats great... Basically I am looking to have constant braking performance. I do track the car and safety is always an issue. Stop tech pricing from HMS motor sports was great... forgot to ask about my car club discount...
