Does anyone know if you can upgrade your car from a regular 530, to a sports package version....and what ther cost would be. Specifically the Active steering and sports suspension???

Yes you can.

You also get black trim and active steering and active roll stabilization with a sport tuned suspension.

I think it?s about $3200 US

TDOCZ, I don't think is possible after the car is build. Just the steering assembly and computer alone will cost thousands. Plus the Active suspension has an electric motor on the sways connected with the computer.

The only thing Jimm copuld do, is to intall a suspension kit coilover like Bilstein PSS9s or KW. I just to have the PSS9s in my 330CI, it was the best until know.

I also do not think you can retrofit a BMW sport pkg. You can do subtle things like add sports tires and get the shadowline trim (i.e. not chrome). But I'm almost positive that you cannot get BMW active steering or have BMW alter the suspension.

Well so much for that idea....thanks anyway, all this talk about the sports pkg had me thinking that i was really missing something, i mean i changed the wheels, and i can swallow the chrome trim (because it wasn't as bad as i thought).....but i keep reading everyones comments on the active sterring and Susp. made me question....

JIMM,

Call your local BMW dealer service center to make sure. Or get on the BMW Owner's Circle web site and utilize the "Priority Email" feature and ask BMW. That's my recommendation. I've probably sent them 4 emails already.
