OMG, you guys are driving me to stop drinking.

I'm 99% sure that each key has it's own 2 seat memories settings (I will verify 100%)

You guys have put a doubt in my memory.

Iceman, I wonder if it's posible to put this on the wish list (for seats to retract along with the steering wheel for easy exit/entry.

Added.

Probably something BMW would only do on L versions of the 7series, since it gets real tight in the back seat when the driver jumps ot of the car faster than the rear passenger.

MB does this on the S-class.

I seen it on the C and E class here in the USA and the C class is small.

Well there you go then...

No reason not to have it as an iDrive option on the 5 series.

The Lincoln Town Car also does this, and from personal experience, if you don't get of of the back seat before the driver, then you are squashed! At least if you are 6'3" like myself...

As Isaid, it's added to the list.
We'll see.
It's a good argument that MB has it on the C and E class, so why not a BMW 5 series ?!
And to be honest, I thought the seat is supposed to retract, but then found out it isn't. I would like to have it...

This is a feature on my sweetie's '98 Lincoln Continental. Remove the key and the steering wheel rises while the seat retracts. The radio or CD continues to play until the driver door is opened. Turn indicators get louder the longer they are left on. Lots of other neat gadgets. She's got the gadgets, but I've got the wheels.

If you use the other key, it'll be the position remembered by this second key at the end of the last drive.
Iceman: I am aware of this. But the seats don't move when we switch between the keys.. supposedly the dealer wasn't able to locate the setting that enables key memory for the seats in the software of the car...

To me this would be the crapest feature ever! What would you do if there was someone sitting behind you who had long legs?
