What's the story on the availability of the sport packages? Are they still not available? What about orders for 6 speed 545's where the sport package is a mandatory option?

The reason I ask is that I just got a very attractive quote on a ED 545/6sp, but it doesn't look as though it includes the $3300 for the sport package.

Is anyone able to order 545/6sp and have them go through?

FWIW, I am shooting for a May ED.

They are on lots now.

 

But am I not mistaken that I read somewhere a month or so ago that sport packages were on some sort of backorder?

I was curious if that backorder also applied to the 545i/6, for which they are mandatory, at least in the US.

They are slow on the 530is because of backorder on the wheels, I don't know it this applies to the 545 or not. They are coming though. They are on the lots and my dealer confirmed that there are some in the pipeline and that they are orderable. Thats all the info I have, sorry.

 

Global Imports, Atlanta also reported issues with Sport Package...parts bins running shy at the factory due to unanticipated demand for Sport Package...primarily for Active Steering.
