I disagree, I've driven a 545i and than a 645ci and both feel fairly the same. Once the sport button was pressed on the 645ci, it felt like a different car. The 545i didn't feel the same, hence the "sport" isn't always on in the 545s...

At least that is how I understand it....others will confirm that only the SMG's have the sport button (and possibly the three footed manual version).

There's no sport button because it doesn't have multiple suspension and shift profiles, it's always on Sport. The sport button is always pushed so to speak. The 6 series has multiple settings because they are usually driven by 60 year old dudes who want a Cadillac ride to go along with the BMW badge.
lol nicely said

the sports button is not included in the sport's package. I may be wrong here but I believe the button is a $500 option.
On my 535i I had to add the sports shifter/button for an additional $500. THe good news is if you can get your hands on a set, both are plug and play (the same for LCI and Pre-LCI).

Those of you who want a sport button on a 545i with the sport package also probably should get an amp that goes to 11. You know, because 11 is louder than 10.
I believe the newer versions have a sport button. M5 has it also for its SMG. I believe the sport button was added after 2006 on the higher models like 550i, and M5 and 6 series of course. For the younger models like 530i/xi was added in 2007 or 2008. Am I wrong?
