Hi again,
It would seem that I have been attracting a lot of attention from Mercedes, Lexus and even BMWs these days. I really don't want to call this one a "kill." Let's say I had some fun with the 745.
Going back to my g/f's apartment Sunday evening, I was cruising about 90 on I-10 West in LA. I wasn't darting in and out of traffic. Was in the left lane and cars in front would move over (as they should, allowing faster traffic to pass on by - I do miss the Autobahn ).
A pair of xenons came up on me real fast and settled behind me once he got close enough. That is how I knew it was a 745. I switched over to the right and he followed. He paced me for a while. Hmmm... I wondered if he wanted to play. I applied some gas and increased the speed to 100 gradually. He was still on my butt in whatever lane I switched to. Eventually, I switched over to the rightmost lane 1.5 mile before exiting onto I-405 South at which point he blows by me.
I thought that would be the last I saw of him. As I took the exit, I noticed he was behind me again. Apparently, he was darting in and out of traffic after passing me but wound up behind me again. We got on I-405 South and he blows by me in the rightmost lane. I let him go. My exit was approaching soon so I got on the rightmost lane. Well, what do you know it's the 745 in front. And even better he's going in the same direction, 90 West.
I've mentioned about 90 West before, it's a highway that is lightly traveled. It's about that time to show him whats underneath the hood. Same engine as his, lighter weight, SMG vs Step. I got into the far left lane before he did. Waited a second for him to get behind, dropped to 3rd and went WOT. He didn't even know what happened. I know he was surprised that I put so many car lengths on him so quickly. At one point I looked down it was reading 120.
I shut it down and came up to the light that signaled the end of the highway. I was in the right lane and he came up in the left. I looked over to give him a thumbs up but didn't see him look over. Oh well, it was fun.

You forget that I'm putting in a differential and remapped ECU.
Anyway, I'm definitely not going to be running any 335s b/c they're going to be too easy to mod with insane amounts of HP and torque.

I have another fest member who's local looking to do group buy so it's up for grabs to whichever dealer takes it first.
When is the next meet?
