Just took a closer look at my cars speakers (not easy sometimes in Minnesota) and see the following:

Front Doors - 2 4" speakers and 2 1" speakers
Rear Doors - no speakers
Rear deck - two 4" speakers
Rear Floor - No subs (no grills, all carpet)

By my count I only have 6 speakers. I sent the VIN to my 2005 525i to BMW and amongst other things they show my audio as: HiFi Speaker System.
Does this seem right and what are my options for upgrades for subs?

The subs should be under the front seats............

Thanks... I did go back out and slide the seat all the way forward and saw the grills. I'm learning. So by the new count I have 8 speakers. Where did the other 2 go?

I don't have my car yet and I 've already given back the other one so I can't go look but isn't there a set in the front pillars as well ?

The base system has 6 speakers, the HiFi has 10, and the Logic7 has 13.

I don?t recall the exact location but this has been posted many times so perhaps try a search. I think someone even posted a diagram.

I did another search and found a diagram that showed the rear deck speakers as 2 4" and 2 1" speakers. So now I find 10 speakers alltotal.
