Hey guys,

Just wanted to know what I should do or expect.

I just had my ccc replaced by the dealer. Previous one died and screen was just black.
Everything seemed normal until I wanted to blast a song.
So when the volume is cranked up the front speakers sometimes make a crackling noise.
I can reproduce the issue whenever I blast the music.
Here is the thing now, before I decide to bring it back to BMW I wanted to get your thoughts and what might be the issue.
I thought maybe it's my speakers. Or maybe they did not connect the wires properly.
Rear Speakers do not produce crackling noise at all.
When I balance the system and only have the front speakers play I get no crackling noise.
When I just balance to the left side only left side front crackles.
Same thing when I balance to right side only right side front crackles.
Balance to only rear speakers no crackle at all.
So it seems to just crackle when both front and rear or played together, whether only left or right.
This did not happen before I had my ccc replaced.

What's your take on this guys?
Can it be that they missed a wiring?
Do I need new front speakers?
Is it a power consumption issue between front and rear.

Please advise.

You said the left/front crackles, right/front crackles, but both front NO crackle?

Only thing I can think of is the amp that drives the front channels is bad/over driven. If you can find the wires, swap the front speaker wires to the rear channel output on the amp. If the front speakers stop crackling then your amp is the problem.

Both front no crackle when balance is only at the front. So no sound in the back.

are u playing via ipod, CD, USB, etc?

If CD, it can be as simple as a scratched CD.

I have the standard set-up, when i crank em up, i get a crackle from the back left speaker, i figure its just a dodgy speaker, in need of an upgrade.

If the dealers done the work, i'd take it back, it doesn't hurt just to ask them to have a look.
