Yikes, I just threw Bosch in my car yesterday. Are the NGK's really that much better? If so I'll switch 'em out.

Yeah I did it myself because I have an inline 6 and it was cake, took 20 minutes. I noticed an immediate improvement over the stock plugs, but I have 87K on the clock.

I think the cars came with Bosch so it can't be that bad. NGK's are also oem and seem to hold better.

BMW calls for 100k mile service interval for spark plugs and I believe them 100% on this. I think anything less is overkill unless you see your engine misfiring.
Based on my personal experience, I have to disagree.

I replaced mine at 40k miles and immediately noticed improvement in throttle response and acceleration. Yours and others might vary but 100K miles is pushing it IMO.

I saw a member spark plugs don't remember what milage but way less then 100k and they look very nasty compared to the new ones.

I guess we have to base it on our experiences. Mine have been great so far.

Hey guys my car is at the Stealer for some repairs, Does anyone have an idea of how much would it cost to change the spark plugs .. and also what would be a recomendation to do on almost 60k, what would be a good idea to replaced as I am thinking of keeping the car for a long time..

thanks
Had mine done on my 545i for 345 with tax included. The V8 isn't an easy DIY like the inline-6 engine is so I would recc you let the dealer do it even though they charge quite a bit for it. Consider it an investment - both for your car and in your dealer for future good will!!!
