Here is my dilemma: after 3 black on black 5-series I started hating the combo. Want to do something completely different like Space Gray Metallic/Gray Dakota Leather/Pentan Aluminum trim.
I never liked wood in my cars so aluminum is a natural choice for me, but will I regret giving up the black exterior? I used to thinking that a Bimmer can be of any color as long as it is black but will CBM look good with gray interior? I saw an SGM 535 the other day and like the color a lot, but will it look good with 550 M-Sport package? Any advice or pictures of SGM will be greatly appreciated.

Just my preference, but I prefer the contrast of my Silver Grey with Black interior better than black on black - it's a little too monochrome for me. However, your choice, black does look really good it's just a PITA to keep clean.

After years of black on black cars, I opted for a black car with Auburn interior this time and I have NEVER regretted it, the contrast is awesome!!

Black on black is awesome when its clean. Space Gray with Black is a good color combo and not a mistake.

I had gray Dakota on my e46 and really liked it. I do not think you will regret it. Everything goes with black. Space gray is a great exterior color.

I came from black saphire metallic and did not regret getting space grey with black interior. I should have chose light poplar instead of dark poplar. Aluminum trim is nice in the M5 I think. You can't go wrong with a lighter color when it comes to washing; less cleaning and it hides the dirt better.

I have tit gray w/auburn interior pretty sweet. But I think that interior color is not available anymore. I know there is another type of darker brown interior which would look good and not to many people would have it.
