Default Can brake bleeding destroy the abs system

I have a 2010 model 528i.

I just did a 2 man brake bleed.

The person pushing down the brake pedal pumped the master cylinder very quickly while pushing the fluid from the reservoir to the calipers.
Is it possible he destroyed the abs system and that is why the brake pedal doesn't get hard now?

I highly doubt it.
It just sounds like you may need to bleed the ABS system using INPA.
Here's a starting reference point

yep, sounds like you have trapped air. ABS unit is probably fine.

What do you mean? As in pump-pump-pump without changing the bleeder screw open/closed?

yeah sounds like air in they system. Also - a must when using the pedal bleed method is to put a small block of wood/rock behind the brake pedal so it doesn't get pushed all the way to the floor. The pedal never goes that low during normal driving, so you don't want to push the seals in the master cylinder all the way to the end.
