Could you good people tell me what does this mean

I have an Exclamation mark ! displayed on the small information screen on my 530i E60. Not the NAV screen, but the small screen between the Speedometer & Revcounter. There are NO Error messages appearing at the bottom of the Nav Screen.

However, when I start the engine, I get a message (again on the small screen) saying SOS with a Line across it (as if to Say SOS not working).

I have Bluetooth, and it is working fine with my mobile phone.

Any ideas?! Thanks

There is another posting "Recall" that may be referring to your issue. There was just a recall letter sent out regarding replacing the TCU for BMW assist that may be causing your problem.

You probably need a new TCU Unit. I had 4 installed before they corrected the same problem. Hit the SOS button to see if it works,if it does ask for a location. Good luck
cheers
