My 2004 525i just hit 100K. It seems like as soon as I hit 100K, I'm starting to get these "gltiches".

1. The seat light on the IP popped up for amount a minute as I was driving with my seatbelt on.

2. I tried to listen to a CD that was already in the deck. Only about half a second from each track would play. As soon as I switched to the radio then back to the CD player, it worked fine.

3. My AC will turn on a few minutes after I've turned it off.

So far the "glitches" haven't been too bad. I just hope that they're not the being of a major problem.

+3 for me. It's so wierd. I'll turn off my A/C and it turns on over and over again on it's own.

If you do not yet have a reliable and trusted independant mechanic to work on your car, I'd say now is the time to find a couple of well-respected candidates for that. This forum has members in just about any locale, so you might find some good recommendations. The reason I say this is: you don't want to be frantically looking for a good mechanic if something major actually breaks.

With regard to the glitches, I suggest being very careful to not start fixing things that aren't completely broke yet, as that might lead to a chain of unnecessary repairs. It is extremely annoying though, I do agree with that. If it makes you feel any better, one of my Audi's started having "the gremlins" at only 65k miles, so its commendable that you've gotten more worry-free driving out of this German.

PS LOVE the title of this thread

+1. There's nothing worst than trying to fix an intermitted problems. As far as the AC, I just close all the vents to when it starts to turn on.

For this one, I'd actually search through some posts - there just might be a way to "convince" your car to behave

This is a low battery fault, mine did the same as soon as it was low, and as soon as it was charged the car went back to normal!! strange i know but thats it, it seems the BMW doesn't like to be underchargerd!
