What would be the best way to fix this? I'm not sure what it was It looks like tree sap ate through it. It's not a paint chip so should I still consider Lanka or Drcolorchip? It's about the size of your thumb.

Could be a bird turd. Typically you'd need some rubbing compound and/or polish combined with a good buff job to get it looking decent.

wet sand, compound, then buff. u can respray some duplicolor clear coat and then more sanding, compound, and buffing.

as others have eluded to...try a good detail first before trying a paint correction product...

I agree. Try rubbing it with a simple wax, then try a clay bar (spray some sprayer wax first before using claybar! Otherwise you will definitely eat thru ur paint), if all else fails then go for the more tedious paint correction procedures..

It has already eaten through my paint. What you see is my paint already gone. I used rubbing compound and polish and that's what was under it. If I find that parrot, I'm gonna shit in his nest  .
