At first when I put my car in reverse the passenger side mirror would go down so I could see the curb, but now it doesn't. Does anyone know why it could be like this and how to fix it?

Check the adjuster knob on your drivers door panel. If it's pushed to the right (meaning you can adjust the right mirror) the mirror won't move, you just have to flip the switch to the left mirror and you'll b fine

The mirror folds down only when you have the adjustment knob moved to driver side. If you move it to the passenger side it doesn't move. Hope this helps.

You were not "dumb" for asking.

Actually you are now quite a bit smarter ... curiosity breeds knowledge.

+1 to that. Using that folding mirror can help to avoid curb rash to your wheels.

Had the same issue when I first got the car. Eventually figured it out though.
