Actually unless that coin makes its way to a flap or controller and jams it up or gets to some point where it rattles it probably won't cause a problem. Try this (it has worked with some of my older cars with basic HVAC) ... cycle your air distribution using iDrive. Set it so air comes thru the lower vents only and turn up the fan to full speed. The coin might (maybe it's a small chance) fall out the bottom.
However, since our HVAC systems are a vast network of pipes and tubes, it might be lost forever.
