Ping pong sized dent sounds like a trailer hitch got you. Unless you can prove who did it, all you can do is get it fixed and put it behind you. Sorry to hear.

I wish there was some kind of bumper guard that would deploy when you parked....a couple of steel spikes that deploy through the grill or something (ala James Bond)

I would honestly punch the window out or kick the door in and deal with the legal consequences - but I have a bad temper and low tolerance for inconsiderate people.

Couple suggestions.... Break off toothpics in door locks; unscrew valve caps...place tiny pebble in cap...replace cap ; You probably can't do this one... but when I lived in townhouse in Ohio and next door neighbor parked in my spot... I backed my car up to his front door and pinned him in his house He never parked in my spot again.
