$300 for install of springs and spacers. I am in an area where there aren't a lot of options, so I am sure it can be done for less.

Here's what I NEED to know, since I am dropping my M5 on Monday with Eibach's. Did you get involved enough with the installation to know if the installer cut the bump stops or not. Usually, they won't tell you unless you ask. I have an idea that I will indeed need to cut them about an inch in front and 0.5" in the rear, but I am trying everywhere to get some input on the RWD cars that have been dropped.
To my knowledge, they simply swapped the stock springs with the Eibachs. Is this not the typical procedure for RWD 5ers?

Hit the 1200 mile mark on Sunday, so here's to some open roads Thanks for the positive words!

You might be right with the RWD 5's. I don't think the xi's had enough research done re: the front struts when H&R made springs for it. The drop was absolutely perfect in terms of ride height, but the OEM struts couldn't handle the drop...barely any strut travel, even with 2/3rd's of the stops cut off.

I think the struts on my old xi were shot in the end as a result. It rode harsher than my M5 with EDC set to Sport. Speaking of EDC and lowering, the EDC still works, but all of the settings will be a bit harsher. Some on the M5Board have said that Comfort mode is more like Normal mode after the drop, and Normal is more like Sport mode. As for Sport mode, some have said it's way too harsh and don't use that setting as a result. I'll know more in a week or so.

I don't hit 1200 miles for another 700 miles, but I still opened her up a bit last night at 1AM when a rice burner wanted a piece of me. He didn't realize what he was dealing with.

I have the original 18" wheels on my 545i. I was wondering would l be able to add spacers to the back wheels to push them out a bit? It makes the car look wider on the back.

Yes, 12-15 mm spacers is no problem rear.

Nice pics and very nice cars

I'm also considering Eibah or H&R lowering springs.

Tell us more about your experience with the lower springs!
