CoolTones----looks great!!! Did you put the 124s on after you got it home or did you have them do it at the VPC?? Because you can't order it with 124s in the US, correct??

Hi Hoopsrob,

One of the Silicon Valley Chapter E60 Forum members had a 545i sport and wanted to "upgrade" his wheels. Funny thing, *many* people seem to be doing the same...

This has left an abundance of Style 124's (245 front, 275 rear) for sale. I purchased mine off Merbow's E60 and when my 530i came in with the Style 123's the dealership removed them and installed my Style 124's. I loaded the Style 123's into my minivan, went to UPS and shipped them to New Jersey -- RoundelE60 is now the owner of my Style 123's.

If you look hard enough you can find a set of 124's (check the E60 Forum classifieds) for at least 1/2 of what the BMW accessories catalog is asking for.

Cheers.

I was in my new dealership tonite and on the showroom - a silverstone M5, black with that funky light-colored wood trim and a titanium silver 530i -

now I would kill for the m5 but the 530i had the full aero, and guys, the rear bumper (maligned by some on the forum) looks fantastic and the kit really gives the M5 a (small) run for the money -

compared with the stock spoiler/bumper/rockerpanels the aero kit is fantastic - and the pictures on this awesome forum do not do it justice...

ok, that's it.

I'll be the grinch here. I think the MKit looks absolutely terrific, but I would not want one on my car. I don't want to "advertize" something I can't deliver. And, I like to be in stealth anyway.

Thanks---I will probably plan to do that when my car arrives. Appreciate the guidance.

I like the front bumper on the aero package, but absolutely hate the rear bumper......think it looks nasty.

I picked up my 530i M Sport a couple of days ago and in Silver Grey with the sports body kit it looks the dogs nads

Even though it cost ?2600 more than the equivalent SE model it was worth it in my opinion. For the extra cash the main items you get are -

Anthracite headlining
Interior trim - Silver Aluminium Cube
M Aerodynamic package
M Door entry sill trims
M Sport Multi-Function Steering Wheel
M Sport suspension settings
Sports Seats
Wheels-18-inch M Sports Spoke Alloy Wheel style 135M
De-Chroming, exterior window finisher trim

Apart from the body kit the alloys also look superb. Just compare an SE alloys with the Sport model.

Trade off however is that you do end up with a firmer ride.

Nice package! I especially love the look of the anthracite headlining and the way it makes the outside seem brighter. This was very noticable getting out of my last SE model with the light coloured headlining.

BTW the ride in the Sport is no different to the SE with 18" wheels. Non Run flats do however
help the ride.

Thanks. I will post some pics once I clean it! I picked it up on Wednesday evening and the weather was horrible.

I got the 2006 model with the stop start button etc. My spec is (which sounds similar to yours Merv) -

530i M Sport Auto
Silver Grey
Black Leather
Media Pack (sat nav pro, bluetooth, cd changer)
Visibility Pack (Xenons, adaptive, washers)
Logic 7 (very good for a manufacturers system)
High gloss shadowline (worth the ?130 extra in my opinion as it sets the car off nicely)
Privacy glass
Remote Control (for my garage doors!)
Tracker (as my insurance co insisted on it which was a bit much)

The high gloss shadowline and the privacy glass just complete the look.

I now wish that I had changed the interior from the standard aluminium cube. It just looks a bit bling! Too shiny.
