Here was my thread:
"Guys, I was at the pump the other day and I saw this guy with a 335i...cool looking car. We got to talking and I looked at this guy's engine....he had TWO turbos! Can you imagine that! A 335i with TWO turbos, man that car is already fast stock, but with 2 turbos it must be SO fast!!!"
Needless to say, a massive flame war ensued. Which I enjoyed

I did the complete opposite. I traded my 2006 IS350 for my 535i manual. The #1 reason was that the IS350 does not come in manual. For everyone that thinks the IS350 is slow, etc., they're totally wrong -- it's the real deal, and there are very few sedans that are faster. I never had a single problem with that car, and it could have lasted me forever.
But, I wanted to have fun and get back into a manual, so here I am. Even after my last E60 550i, which was a complete electrical and mechanical nightmare, I'm back to BMW to give it another try.

Good to hear hah. I am looking for reliable right now. I like the power, it is a beast compared to the 525i. Not a big deal for me that there is not a manual option, it has everything I want for now. I will own another BMW at some point, hopefully they will put a dealership in my home town.

If you are looking for something reliable, there's no question that the IS350 is your best bet and will NEVER leave you stranded. Before my 550i was bought back by the dealer, it was breaking at least twice/week, but my dealer was luckily only a couple miles from my home. By the way, Lexus will actually give you a Lexus when you require service -- not an Enterprise rent-a-car.

You are definately in the minority in not getting a loaner for service I think. I've been to three different tri-state dealers and was given a loaner no questions asked, even when I didn't buy the car there. SoCal must suck for BMW owners, lol.
