What I still don't understand is why many dealers are keeping BMW prices artificially higher in the Northeast. A few of my friends have walked away from dealers who wouldn't budge, and only over one or two K's. I was reading somewhere that BMW is actually increasing prices on their CPO's and will do away with their December specials. That's a real smart move considering the state of the economy. Maybe the're trying to find ways to lose money so they, too, can be bailed out by their country?
I paid ?23.500 for my car, a 530d m sport in april. It had 15000 miles and every extra and is as new.Was this a good price?

Chicago market is bad. I just picked up a 2004 545i with 63k miles, nav and sport packages for $15,000.

I just bought a 2005 530dA Touring M-Sport for 22500 EUR, down from 29800 EUR!!
Great for me, unforetunately bad for others.

The BMW dealer's opinion was that next year would continue to be another bad year for used car prices, but in 2010 he would expect the prices to recover... or should he have said "hope" that the prices recover??

Wow, you guys are lucky. We're not even close here. Check out these places in MA:

They must think we're in the y2k boom era, here in Massachusetts.

This is why I will NEVER buy a brand new car. I mean whats the point if youre going to get raped if you sell a few years after. If I go for the f10 Im going to wait two years before I get one.
