Hello all,

looking for some quick help, my Cars been at BMW for the last few days having a service and a bits done under warranty. I've asked if they can upgrade the firmware on the NAV/computers system and one of the Service chaps just told me it is already the latest, i dont belive it 100%..what i asked what version is he could not answer me...i've asked him to find out.

Does anyone know what its called and what version is the latest ?

Unless there is a documented problem that is resolved via a Progman upgrade, it is very unlikely that the workshop will do an upgrade.

Another issue is that altough you upgrade from an older CIP to a newer version, the navigation might still have the old version. This is because one version may not include new software for every module, i.e. one CIP version might only have new SW for HUD, CA and CCC.

Actually, the way Progman works, all modules with upgrades are upgraded at the same time.
