Hi everyone!!
Just bought E61 -530d. It is brand new car but produced 12.2005. Have a few questions:
1. Which software ver. will I get? One that was actuall on dec 2005 or one that is actuall now?
2. Is bluetooth module worth spending additional money ? I use Nokia 6233
3. What are the options to get ride of RF tyres if I will not have space for spare wheel?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Maciek.
1. You'll probably have whatever software was the production version when the car was made. I doubt the seller will update it! Unless it needs an update e.g. because you go for Bluetooth.
2. Not to me. I have BT (and a 6233!), but a) I don't use the phone that much in the car, b) if I do use it, I think a BT earpiece is more practical, so passengers are not forced to participate in the conversation c) my address book is so large that it does not fit in the car's memory (~1200 numbers will fit)
BMW has just announced that a cradle for the 6233 is available, so that may improve reception a little and charge the phone.
3. The space for the spare wheel is there. It's just hidden under a flat boot lining. The formed lining is available as a spare part, and so are the wheel, jack and wheel chock. Otherwise - emergency repair spray can, mini-compressor, membership of car recovery organisation and rabbit foot are the other options. None of them is really a good substitute for a wheel.

Probably the car is still running under the original software.
The dealer is supposed to update the software before he sells the car, but the most dealers don't do so.
The last loaner I had was still running on the software from 2004, and that car was actually a demonstrator...
