My Ride: E61 530d Touring, May 2004

There are lots of references to versions of the i-Drive software.

Is there an equivalent to the Microsoft "Help About" function which displays the version ? (We seem to have adopted other Microsoft traits, like great features interspersed with regular software crashes)

It not the IDrive software but the cars sofware

IDrive is only 1 computer of many in the car

Only the dealers service computer can tell you what the car has on it

Thanks - not keen to revisit the dealer again so will live in ignorance of version for now
Has been updated 4 times and has perspective screen and finally TMC on nav so must be quite recent

you don't have to go back but just give a call to your service advisor. he/she has your history.

If you got perspective view you have at least the software version from CIP 16.0
