I'm sitting at service and getting software updated for my 04 530i to add mp3 play feature right now. They quoted me for $230 + tax. Do you guys think that this is reasonable for this work?

did u get a quote for ipod adapter as well? ipod wouldhve been better but don't know how much the price difference would be at ure dealership

Yeap I did, total was around $800 with installation. They said that I'd still need software update with ipod connector.

yes it's probably in that range. i was qouted $190 at one dealership and $250 at another. (1 hr to 1.5 hrs labor)

wow....i paid 250 for ipod with installation but i made that deal when i was purchasing the car
