My Ride: 2006 530 d M-sport e60
i need my headlight washers doing but dealer charges max of 2 and half hours labour ?300 plus VAT, the new ista system codes the whole car unlike the progman system which could code individual parts

be aware rislar that a software update can take upto 7 hours on a fully loaded car and it dont always work first time, also it`s not unkown for the laptop to crash causing on or more of the modules to blow as well

Dealer quoted me 2 hrs capped labour at ?120 + tax per hour = ?276 total and wanted the car for the full day.
I went to an indy (Lewis Motors in Blackpool) and had it done for ?100 cash in about 4hrs.
Dealer wouldn't guarantee any updates I requested (MP3 playback etc) but still wanted full monies, so I went the indy route.

it`s amazing how the charge varies so much, sytner in colchester wanted ?300 + VAT for 2 and half hours capped and stephen james in ruxley wanted ?274 + VAT for 2 and half hours capped
